Always Sunny

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia leaving Netflix

Why is Always Sunny leaving?

The reason Always Sunny is leaving Netflix is due to the end of a licensing agreement with 20th Century Fox that is ending and does not look like it will be renewed.

It seems more and more shows are slowly disappearing from Netflix as they get more and more original  content. Netflix is becoming less of the “home of the re runs” and trying to break into the production scene and create its own content.

Other shows Netflix has removed

There seem to be a lot of shows that are licensed from FOX that have recently been removed from Netflix. Some examples are: Bob’s Burgers, Louie, Bones, and we can’t forget Futurama!

About Always Sunny

If you have not watched any episodes of Always Sunny then you need to start. It follows “The Gang”: Frank (Danny DeVito), Charlie (Charlie Day), Dennis (Glenn Howerton), Mac (Rob McElhenney and Dee (Kaitlin Olson). It’s hard to explain but its like watching your friends that you know suck, but they suck so much its always funny(no pun intended). That is the best way to describe the show.

The show was created by Rob McElhenney. Rob, Glenn, and Charlie all serve as executive producers along with some other people from the show.

The pilot for the show was made for only $200 give or take. Back in the day when VHS was king. With just an idea in their heads and careers that seem to be stuck. The gang shot the pilot with no idea of lighting, staging, or anything and made it work.

Where will you be able to watch it?

If you happen to have a Hulu account then you can watch the gang on Hulu. They have picked up the show’s 12th season and you can catch up over there.
